Born 1985 in Budapest, Hungary
Student (Law and History; University of Vienna)

Eustory Project "Protest and civil disobedience outside of the official memory, a European comparative study"
Janos Boszormenyi is working with numbers of other young researchers on a European comparative study devoted to the theme "Protest and civil disobedience outside of the official memory." The Hungarian-born student, now studying law in Austria, is concentrating on resistance to the Nazi regime in Vienna's seventh district. Among other things, he has succeeded in interviewing a person who is honoured in Yad Vashem as one of the "righteous among the nations." In addition, he is pursuing the fate of survivors of the Mauthausen concentration camp. At the same time, Janos is organising meetings with the other researchers, who come from a variety of European countries, and coordinating the group's Internet platform.
